Welcome to Applied Vibe. This site is a working homage to Apple’s System 6, the last strictly black and white Macintosh operating system.

Everything you see is drawn with exactly two colours. Grey does not exist here. Where the original hardware needed tone it used dither patterns, and so does this site.

What lives here

Blog posts are files. Folders on the desktop group them by topic. The Projects folder holds application icons that open my vibe coding experiments in a new window, each hosted on its own subdomain.

Drag the windows around. Try the menus. The Special menu does what you would expect.
